A New Album

Opened Spotify. There was an album he wanted to listen, that his friend suggested. Hit play. First song, Intro... Here we go. He wondered how many Intros he listened before.

Another beginning. An optimistic expectation. A hope. He got excited a bit, then told himself that probably he is going to get bored after the third song. What can you expect from a music album anyway. But who knows. Sometimes, that exact feeling of starting something fresh is enough.

But what if the songs make you lose track of time. And the melody drifts you away. Sends you to distant, unexplained places and makes you feel 'sweet inside'. Just like the big teenage dreams you had, at the window seat of a high school bus.

Or what if it inspires you to create something. For example, it makes you want to write your thoughts on a rainy Saturday morning in a cozy coffee shop. You suddenly realize you are shaking your head like crazy while you focused on what you do. Good thoughts, bad thoughts... But something. Doesn't matter. It's the feeling that makes you realize you are capable of dreaming. That you are alive. Not numb, not tired, not lazy. But productive, young, excited. And it leaves a stupid smile on the face.

A foolish hope, out of a random music album, that makes you realize you are in the land of living, even alone.

I guess life can be very simple.
